Ohio Emergency Management Rebate Program
Ohio Emergency Management Agency has launched the Ohio Safe Room Rebate Program. The Program provides a rebate for the purchase and installation of safe rooms for Ohio Homeowners. Homeowners that are selected for the program are eligible for a rebate of 87.5% of the cost to purchase/install/construct a safe room up to a maximum of $6,000.00. For this program, safe rooms are defined as any above or below ground shelter which meet or exceed the requirements outlined in FEMA Publication 320 and/or 361.
The attached Safe Room Rules outlines how the program works, who is eligible to apply, the selection process, and the requirements once selected. Additional information can be found at: https://ohiosharpp.ema.state.oh.us/ohiosaferoomrebate/
