The newest member of the Goshen Township

Police Force is certified and on the streets!

K-9 unit "Jynx" and handler Officer Matt Bucksath passed their state certification testing on June 2^nd, and have been out on patrol in Goshen since then. Jynx is a two year old German Shepherd from Holland. Officer Bucksath gives all her commands in Dutch.

Officer Jynx was introduced to the public at the July 8^th trustee's meeting. Officer Bucksath says his new partner is already a member of the family and called her his "protector." Bucksath says Jynx is more calm and focused than her predecessor, Officer Djim.

Jynx is Goshen's second K-9 unit. She succeeds Officer Djim, a 6 year old Belgian Malinois, who died unexpectedly last June. Djim served Goshen Township from 2005 until 2008.
